This week’s challenge was a perfect fit to the second half of last week’s story. Here is The Muse ~ Part Two (Or How My Secret Gift Became Not-So-Secret.)

I hope you have an much fun reading it as I did writing it.
I should probably start a Nonsense Stories series based on things I come up with from writing prompts:

This was oddly fun to write!
Ha, that was a fun one. Nice job!
Thank you!
Wow. That was a wild ride. Fun to read and think through. Nothing made sense till the very end when suddenly it did and I felt like yelling, “Holy crap, the doors to my perception have been thrown open by this revelation!” It’s an incredible achievement to Shyamalan a story like this and pull it off so artfully. Well done!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

I have absolutely NO confidence in posting mine first but if I don’t do it now I’m going to forget. Here goes *hitting post comment with eyes pinched shut* https://thewritingsoflc.wordpress.com/2017/06/11/the-thief-of-moons/
That was a funny one. Something grandparents do.
Completed the challenge, but in spanish lol. For, whoever speaks spanish, there you go.
PS: I’m translating it to english in a few days…

Actually, Google can ask us if we wish the page to be translated into our own language… 😀
[…] This is the challenge. I had no idea where this story was going when I started it. It does remind me I want to get to this paranormal horror story I’ve had brewing in the back of my mind for ages. I wonder if I’ll ever get to it. […]
I went with Thorn of Prophecy. http://andreaspeed.com/2017/flash-fic-challenge-thorn-of-prophecy/
I took a run at Cleaning up the Ashes. This was actually quite fun.

I loved it. Very inventive and the language was so colorful. It hit all the right spots for me. Excellent work!
Please to enjoy 241 words of pretentious poem-story hybrid thingy!

That was a very interesting read! 🙂

Brilliant. I liked it!
http://slwhshorts.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-secret-gift.html please don’t judge too harshly it has been a bad week.
A Year of Bodies sounds interesting. I look forward to posting this one!
I chose “A Year of Bodies” and came up with a scifi short story in a gender-shift future:

Damn, I just realized that is the wrong link. Now. Three months later. Here’s the good one, FWIW:

Here is The Nobody.

Nobody knows what you did…
That was interesting! I think it would work well in longform 🙂 I’m sure there is a lot more behind those two parts of the story!
Thanks for the read! Yeah, there are layers within layers in this story that I’m still unraveling.
Great! 🙂
[…] while now, I’ve been looking for an excuse to start posting more writing on here. I saw the Flash Fiction Challenge over on Chuck Wendig’s blog the other day and decided to give it a shot. This week’s challenge was to take one of ten […]
I started doing the Thief of Moons, then tinkered with the title a little 🙂 This is a #Princelings story, in case you also read my books!

Very rough draft, but here goes anyway: https://epeapteroenta.wordpress.com/2017/06/16/cleaning-up-the-ashes/
This is the Unwilling Word: https://medium.com/@sgt.woodpepper/the-unwilling-word-eba128b587f7
I liked the sound of The Nobody. Took me some place dark. But then that’s hardly a shocker. http://grahamwho.com/grahamwrites/2017/06/16/flash-fiction-nobodys-business/
Here’s my first attempt at flash fiction, using “A Year of Bodies.” Hope you enjoy!

(Sorry if this double posts; I tried posting last night, but internet was being funky & I don’t know if it went through to the validation queue.)
That was a captivating read!
Here’s my entry for the title Laughing Lights. Hard to believe how long it’s been since I’ve written anything, I think it shows!
