So that’s that for me in Phoenix. Come say hi! Even if you’re not in Phoenix, get there! Hop a plane! A train! A trans-dimensional desert portal! Or just drop acid and hallucinate me!
It’ll be great.
Also, what else is new?
My run on TUROK has been collected in a trade paperback — TUROK: BLOOD HUNT. So, hey, go get it if you feel so inclined.
I’m told too that a Miriam Black cover reveal is in the works for this week.
SyFy.com has an article talking about Chewbacca and his family, and I’m all up in it talking about the Han and Chewie dynamic going on in the Aftermath trilogy.
And I think that’s it.
Here’s another high-test dose of weird macro photos, enjoy:

Priscilla Bettis says:
See now, this is why I shouldn’t read blog posts before I’m fully awake. I saw on your schedule the first “signing,” and I could have sworn it said, “stoning.” Then my brain went with it, and I thought, Surely they’re not going to STONE someone. Maybe what he really meant was folks can get stoned with the authors. Marijuana must be legal in Arizona.
Ei-yi-yi.

Question, Cons as an author: Recharging, Draining, or “It’s Complicated”?
May 21, 2018 — 11:40 AM
terribleminds says:
Both! I am creatively recharged but also, as an introvert-faking-extroversion, they are socially draining. But long term it’s a positive, if it’s a good con.
May 21, 2018 — 12:59 PM
Geekfest says:
I’m in the same boat. I love the conventions but I only have so long that I can fake being an extrovert before I run out of juice. (I suppose the difference for me is that I don’t have to be “on” while I’m there with people who have expectations of me.)
On the other hand, it seemed like there’s a cadre of author-y folks whose main opportunity to hang out in-person happens at these cons. It always looks like a grand ol’ time! I recall Delilah spelled it out very eloquently at one point, when she was talking about finding your tribe.

A positively EPIC and very exciting post you’ve got here, sai. If I could make it down to Phoenix, I totally would. But we’re all there in spirit with ya!:) Take in the sights, have a few laughs (complete with a few snorts,) and continue to inspire the masses.
Seriously, I’m excited for you, Chuck, and wish you nothing but the BEST!

Deborah Makarios says:
My, what a good-looking snake. Going for the oil-slick-on-a-parking-lot-puddle look, at least colourwise. But so tiny!
May 21, 2018 — 7:33 PM
Dustin says:
Phew! I nearly forgot to check out the SyFi.com link, which I very much enjoyed. Your knowledge and approach to the Aftermath trilogy were especially enjoyable.

K. Zorn says:
Chuck, I know you play some games in your spare time, have you played any you really like lately? Same goes to any other commenters. I’m excited to start Dark Souls Remastered this weekend.
