So, the other day on Twitter I summoned up a tweetstorm about writing and publishing and the advice I gave to a power company worker who came here the other day to change out a meter.
BEHOLD THE LURID TALE.

I think I caught most of it when you first tweeted it, nice to see it all collected here. Really drives home that the hardest part is the perseverance. First in starting, then in carrying through and finally in finishing. Thanks again for sharing.

“Write more. Finish stuff.” Yeah, if you can’t do those two, none of the rest is going to happen.

It’s the best thing I learned as a real estate agent — you must learn to tolerate, or even enjoy (I can be a perv if I want to) rejection! Sorry, but I can not reject this thesis. Nicely said!

I don’t understand why everyone is in such a twist. Success in writing as in anything, takes hard work and perseverance and most of all finishing creative projects. I have trouble with the whole finishing thing. But that is my issue. It isn’t Chuck’s fault that he named it as the fatal flaw it is. In fact it’s inspiring me to be less lame and actually finish a couple of essays and a short opening that are at about the 70 percent mark. Truth is truth and a spade remains a spade even if it’s not covered in cumin Gouda.

What a delightful Storify to read whilst in the clutches of another ulcerative colitis flare-up. Shittin’ pants, I wearz dem. Great advice as always, Mr. W; I keep reading your blog in the hope that some of your words will begin sinking into my brain. No meter movement yet, alas. Not down to you, of course, that’s all on me.
