This week’s challenge?
I want you to click this link: generate random cocktail.
It will, predictably, give you a random cocktail and its recipe.
(If for some reason that link doesn’t work: try this one. It gives you 10 at a time.)
The title of the random cocktail is the title of your new flash fiction story.
You have ~1000 words.
Due by next Friday, 3/20. Noon EST.
Post at your online space. Link to it in the comments below.

Wow, my list contains the Car Bomb #1, and something called a Frostitute. If I can’t do something with that, I need to turn in my secret writer’s decoder ring.

I’m probably going to regret this, but what’s in a Frostitute?
March 13, 2015 — 1:32 PM

Great idea! and lots of fun. I especially enjoyed the description of the chemical make-up of the bomb…it was awe-inspiring. Loved your message, too.
March 18, 2015 — 10:50 PM
ElctrcRngr says:
Thank you. I tried to make it bi-partisan, as this really isn’t a political piece. I just like poking fun at politicians. I feel we all need to try to be less sensitive if we’re ever to address issues like racism and immigration in a positive and productive manner.

I really liked the bit at the beginning –> It’s simple math, really. You take today’s date and subtract twenty-one years. If the ID of the person in front of you is before that date, they’re good, if not they go away. <– I liked the door man's voice and getting the inside scoop on what he does. Love the feeling of potential in the ending.

jacki214 says:
I don’t know if I was supposed to laugh, but the first half of your story had me howling. Loved this –> Spending the day with unbrushed teeth and hair was off-putting for him. <– Maybe it's the cumulative effect of reading 1000-word flash fictions. Your plot twist was clever and the Blue Evil Thing was perfect.

Yes, I wondered who might drink it and why…and it sort of went from there. Thanks for reading!
