But dangit, it&#8217;s still Friday so I&#8217;m getting in under the wire.]<\/p>\n<p>Last week&#8217;s challenge is relevant here: <a title=\"http:\/\/terribleminds.com\/ramble\/2014\/04\/11\/flash-fiction-challenge-the-return-of-the-opening-line-contest\/\" href=\"http:\/\/terribleminds.com\/ramble\/2014\/04\/11\/flash-fiction-challenge-the-return-of-the-opening-line-contest\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The Return of the Opening Line Contest<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Your job this week is simple in concept, daunting in choice.<\/p>\n<p>Clink that link. Then &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>You need to go through the entries &#8212; er, all 400-500 of them &#8212; and find an opening line you like.<\/p>\n<p>Then you will take that opening line and use\u00a0<em>that<\/em> as the opening line of this week&#8217;s story.<\/p>\n<p>(You may not choose your own.)<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ve got the usual 1000 words.<\/p>\n<p>Due by 4\/25, noon EST.<\/p>\n<p>Post the story with the chosen opening line at your blog or online space. Then drop a link in the comments here so we can track back and read the story.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it.
