Utah, Day One
  • To make a long story short, I can’t feel my legs.

    It’s been a long day.

The kind of day that begins at 3AM.

The kind of day that, at 3AM, decides that your coat zipper is broken and you best find a new coat to bring. Pronto, biznatch.

The kind of day that involves hours of travel on every end.

    But, it’s also been a bad-ass day.

I shan’t say much at present. Just know that I am nestled in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by three feet of snow and icicles that are literally four inches in diameter and about four to five feet in length.

    Do not stand underneath these.

I am in the presence of awesome people; some are lab runners, some are lab advisors, others are lab fellows.

    I am tired.

And tomorrow, the script gets a right good flogging from our first advisor.

I am, strangely, looking forward to it.

  • Surrounding yourself with awesome people is a great foundation for good things to come. Enjoy!

  • Keep the momentum, brother. And surely avoid giant icicles.

  • Sounds a bit like my first day at GameX, only in a better environment and a greater proportion of awesome folks.

    Have fun out there.

  • Hang in there boss. Just a few more days – you’ve got them exactly where you want them.

Stick to the plan, chum, stick to the plan.

  • Oh, I don’t have anybody where I want them — we’re the bugs under glass on this one, but that’s of extreme value.
