[...] It’s a small world, and all creative people somehow have more than one creative outlet. I follow a fellow by the name of Chuck Wendig because of his hilarious comedy (penned with a mutual friend), Shadow Stories. But here I discover that he’s also a mentionable photographer as well. On his blog, he discusses his photo editing techniques using Photoshop. I bring it to your attention because it’s probably one of the simplest and most entertaining discussions on the topic I’ve seen. Check out his post: Fiddling with Knobs: How Chuck Edits Photos.
Haven't tried Lightroom -- Photoshop does the trick, and it only takes me 30 seconds or so?

I am going to try a few different ways of sharpening photos, though (High Pass Filter, for one).

And dayum, I want one of those pen tablets. But bad.

Have you tried Lightroom? I'd definitely recommend it for these kinds of edits. It's no better but is completely non-destructive (equivalent of adjustment layers) and allows you to replicate these effects quickly over any amount of other photos. Me likey! That said, I need to work on my Photoshop techniques, particularly adjustment layers for those times that I can't accomplish what I need to in Lightroom. That and I have a strong desire for one of those pen tablets... I'm hearing more and more that they're game changers.

Will:

I EAT THE FROZEN HEARTS OF MY ENEMIES, AND THE THUMBNAILS APPEAR.

...

No. I cheat, and use my Flickr plugin.

Though, I guess to not cheat, I could've grabbed the HTML code for each thumbnail and just strung 'em together.
