Although I have read about 4 or 5 of his books... One will always stand out above the rest "Swan Song". I love everything about this book, and even feel like it is the handbook to the end of times... at times. As with other posts, I fail to see how this book never became a movie, or as I'd like to do it, a mini-series. (it's the ONLY way it would be truely concise, and have enough time to tell the entire story.) All in all, if you have not read ANYTHING by this man, this book is the personification of brilliant writing. Thank you Robert... wherever you may be... and if, by chance, you happen upon this blog of sorts.... FOR GOD SAKES MAN, MAKE A MOVIE! I and, an aparently, large following... would love you for it.

RE: THE WOLF'S HOUR, Subterranean Press is releasing a new signed limited edition of THE WOLF'S HOUR in November. It includes a new Michael Gallatin novella!

On top of that, oh doubter Chuck, McCammon is currently finishing up several other Michael Gallatin stories, which will be published in a new collection sometime in 2011, I think, also from Subterranean Press.

Here is the link the limited edition of THE WOLF'S HOUR:

Great list - Boy's Life is on my all time top ten list, and Mystery Walk is the only book set where I grew up. I had the pleasure of meeting Rick for the first time shortly after the paperback release of Baal, and I can tell you he is as good a person as a writer.

Wolf's Hour would do well with a sequel, I think -- given that McCammon is now writing historic fiction, it seems to me there could be a place for that, but I certainly won't hold my breath.

Angela: Oooh, you also have one of the magical hardback Swan Songs. There was only, what, 650-700 signed and numbered copies? Exciting.

My Life: As for the Mister Slaughter ARC, I think the best thing you can do is pre-order the book from Amazon now!
