Painting With Shotguns III
  • Man, these might just become a weekly fixture. They’re so easy! So, what’s going on over here?

    • If you’re not a fan of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, you can just march yourself out of here, mister. Or miss. Don’t come back until you’ve seen an episode. I’ll wait. You’ll thank me. For me, it has the same crass, vibrant, vaguely-topical edge of something like South Park. It’s not a cartoon, obviously. Oh, anyway, it premieres tonight. FX. 10PM. Be there. Don’t make me karate chop you in the neck.
    • Since we’re talking TV, I’m kind of curious to see Joel McHale in Community, too.
    • Since we’re still talking TV, anything you’re excited about this season? Tell me about it. Since I seem to have a vested interest in television these days, what do you watch on the Tube? Should I be watching Sons of Anarchy? Or something else awesome?
    • Say it with me — Abduzeedo. You like pretty graphic things? You like funky art? You like cool tutorials? Make with the clicky.
    • I put the finishing touches on Hunter: C&C Music Factory (aka Compacts and Conspiracies) this week. I can’t really give anything away, but I crammed as much as I could into that damn thing. Mystical severed heads, orgies, hot conspiracy-on-conspiracy sexy-time action, interstitial terrain. It was hella fun to write. Hopefully for you, fun to read. Eddy Webb better think so, or he’ll make Baby Wendig cry. And also open fire on innocent crowds.
    • This is some brainstormer shit right here. I don’t know who Andrew Bosley is, but I like him. Makes for fun fiction brainstorming. Use the magic wheel. Go on. Do it.
    • It’s not unreasonable to suggest I might plug Shadowstories again, since, y’know, it’s right over there.
    • Since we’re apparently going to talk about TV again, if you’re ever interested in writing television — or seeing how it’s written so you can study your favorite shows — I cannot recommend Alex Epstein’s Crafty TV Writing enough. I like the use of the word “crafty.”
