Mementos of Momentous Momentum
  • It’s nice to have some energy and momentum carrying me forward. I got lightning shooting out of my eyes and fire out of my ass. Which is trouble for my office chair, but I’m getting used to the smell of singed leather.

This process of gathering energy has already put some things into play, and will soon put others into play. Like, what, you ask?

    • DIY Days, Philadelphia. I’m speaking. Check out the speaker list — and note that it generously lists me as a developer of games, film, and TV. Damn yeah.
    • Jet Pack is go! I already told you that my story, “Product Placement,” is live there. I haven’t yet told you that the first part of Wood’s serial fiction, “Memory Sticks,” is up. I also haven’t told you about Will’s upcoming (shh), and my upcoming (shut yo’ mouth).
    • Have you heard of a little thing called Shadowstories? You haven’t? You will.
    • I’m nearing the 40k mark on the novel. I don’t expect it to go past 70k or so, which means I’ve surely done a jig over the halfway line.
    • The aforementioned development of film and TV goes well. Outline for TV, fourth draft for the film.
    • World of Darkness: Mirrors is a lot of work, because it’s a lot of nitty and a lot of gritty. Plus, I keep rerouting to [REDACTED]. But, it creeps and crawls slowly along, its grim reflection forever grinning. Wood’s on that book, too — he’s the man bringing you the opening fiction, fiction you want to read so bad, it’s like they just made fiction illegal.
    • I think that’s it for now. Keep your eyes peeled. Watch this space. The hits keep on coming.

ChuckWendig

Chuck Wendig is a novelist, a screenwriter, and a freelance penmonkey. He's written too much. He should probably stop. Give him a wide berth, as he might be drunk and untrustworthy. He currently lives in the wilds of Pennsyltucky with a wonderful wife and two very stupid dogs. He is represented by Stacia Decker of the Donald Maass Literary Agency.

    Your momentum is intimidating.

  • Intimidating to me, I know that. Because I’m on the hook for this stuff. I have to make it good. I have to make it work.

Shouldn’t be intimidating to anybody else, tho.

If anything, they should be hopeful — if an idiot like me can find opportunity, anybody can. :)
